Minority Majority States...and Districts
An article in the LA Times called "Census: Multiracial U.S. becoming even more diverse" caught my attention over the weekend. It definitely raised some questions about our nation's demographics and made me think about what I am aiming to do with Socially Diverse.
I encourage you to read the full article, as I found it pretty interesting, but here's one big takeaway: "Four states -- Hawaii, New Mexico, California and Texas -- as well as Washington, D.C., have minority populations that exceeded 50%."
As far as Socially Diverse is concerned, I'm interested in where are these groups connecting online? Are there major trends in conversation within these groups that go largely unnoticed?
If so, what are they?
And last...but most certainly not least... for those looking to join the conversation, out of pure interest or with a goal in mind, what is the best way to do so?

So here's my request for you:
Over the next few days, weeks and months, I plan to research, interview and profile diverse conversations online. There will be a special focus on racial diversity, but I do not plan to limit myself to that because there are so many unique conversations taking place that need to be highlighted.
If you would like to help with this project, know a blogger (or network or community) that I should be connecting with, OR are taking part in a conversation I should be following, please leave a comment or email me here: james.walker@prprescriptions.com .
